JAZZ SINGING with SOPHIE BANCROFT

Join us for a fun and inspiring workshop learning jazz songs by ear in a warm and welcoming environment.  You’ll also explore jazz vocal technique and the lush rhythms and vocal harmonies found in the genre. 

Your tutor is jazz vocalist, songwriter and vocal educator Sophie Bancroft.

No experience is necessary, just a love of singing. We think you’ll be surprised at how versatile your voice can be. 

Suitable for age 14 upwards.

About Sophie:
Sophie Bancroft is a singer and songwriter with a unique blend of jazz and folk influences.  Her music has been used on two of HBO's award-winning TV series: Six Feet Under and CSI. She has been recorded by top jazz vocalists including Liane Carroll with the Prague Philharmonic Orchestra. Sophie is also a founder member of the award-winning Pathhead Music Collective and is a busy music educator, teaching at Edinburgh University and on many vocal jazz and song-writing workshops around the UK.
