NIKI KING – TIME +
MALCOLM MACFARLANE
"A voice that makes grown men weep and poets reach for their pens * * * * *” – EdFestMag
We invite you to an immersive and deeply soulful, jazz-infused journey with 2024’s Scottish Jazz Vocalist of the Year.
Niki King brings her powerful show Time to the Soundhouse Winter Festival 2025 and we couldn’t be happier. We have followed Niki’s rising star over the years and her show at our 2023 Rose Theatre Fringe run was one of the stand out performances. Naturally we’re delighted that the stars have aligned and we can include her as a Soundhouse Winter Festival headliner in 2025.
Renowned for her stunning vocal range and emotive delivery, Niki King captivates audiences with a voice that is both rich and nuanced, effortlessly weaving intricate melodies with heartfelt storytelling.
Described as “a truly miraculous experience” in a five-star review in EdFestMag and “positively cathartic” in The Scotsman, Time blends the live performance of King’s critically acclaimed album The Everlasting Energy of Love — hailed as “a cosmic masterpiece” by The List — with spoken word drawn from real public reflections on universal themes of love, loss, and connection.
Performed with a powerhouse live ensemble, the result is a unique musical journey that is both deeply moving and profoundly uplifting.
